Sodium hypochlorite

Sodium hypochlorite is one of Wibax’ 150 products.  A chemical compound primarily used as a disinfectant and bleach.

Sodium hypochlorite is widely used in industry, primarily due to its strong oxidising and disinfecting capabilities. 

Solutions of sodium hypochlorite are used for disinfecting drinking water, swimming facilities, cooling water, raw water for industry, and equipment in the food industry.

For example, in water and sewage treatment, sodium hypochlorite kills bacteria, viruses, and algae. In the paper and pulp industry, sodium hypochlorite is used as an alternative or complement to other bleaching agents.
