Piteå company creates 64 tonnes of history

Chemicals supplier Wibax has focused on sustainability issues since it was established. Now the company is taking it up a notch. In collaboration with Scania, it is launching a world first, an electric ADR-approved truck that can haul 64 tonnes, a new record for electric trucks.

Jonas Wiklund, Wibax Group, named northern Sweden’s foremost entrepreneur in EY’s Entrepreneur Of The Year!

The Skellefteå final was the sixth and final of a total of six regional finals held during the autumn. All of the winners of tonight’s grand finals will face the winners of the other five regional finals, when the national finals are held in Stockholm City Hall in January 2022. The national winner of the main prize, EY Entrepreneur of the Year, will then be representing Sweden in Monte Carlo in June, where entrepreneurs from all over the world compete for the title of the world’s foremost entrepreneur.

The Wibax group remains in a stage of strong development, focusing on growth in all parts of our operations, including products of our own production. We are therefore strengthening the organization, to be even better equipped to deal with future challenges, in both the short and long term. WIBAX broadening collaboration with SunPine

SunPine is extending and broadening its logistics collaboration with Wibax. The contract covers transportation and storage of products used by SunPine in their production of biofuels. The logistics collaboration is important from a sustainability perspective, where the product flows of Wibax and Sunpine complement each other, to minimise the mileage driven by tanker trucks without load. Wibax offers a logistics solution which covers all of Sweden, an operation involving about 20 employees.

Wibax Establishes A Driver’s School

The Wibax group is growing rapidly, whilst concurrently there is a shortage of drivers in the logistics industry. There is a need for more truck drivers in several locations, but primarily in Piteå and Skellefteå. Wibax Logistics wishes to create a situation where more drivers are available to recruit. Therefore, we are starting a driving licence training programme of our own, and offer trainee positions.
