Storage and distribution of bitumen
Since last autumn, Wibax has an agreement in place with a stakeholder in the asphalt industry, on storage and transportation of bitumen in northern Sweden. Bitumen is the bonding agent used in asphalt production. As the product is stored at approximately 150 °C, it requires considerable amounts of safety equipment for storage and handling. In order to live up to current safety and environmental requirements, Wibax Logistics has remodeled a number of existing cisterns in Skelleftehamn, to make them suitable for bitumen handling.
