Wibax acquires Silvex, a company in green energy

Wibax has acquired the company Silvex and are formally owners from September 1st. The company is located in Stockholm and imports including beck-oil which is sold to customers in the energy and industry, mainly in the Nordic region. Wibax acquires all shares and its previous owner continues to work through consulting firms. SILVEX has currently a turnover of about 60M SEK and the products fit well into Wibax investment in green energy and aggressive growth plan.

SILVEX has many years of experience from tall oil products and has established contacts with several suppliers and a well functioning logistics chain. The purchase also includes the permits required for the importation of products outside of Europe.

Wibax existing business is lifted over to the new company and its name changed to Wibax Biofuel AB to further clarify our environmental profile. David Wiklund, previously operations manager for Wibax Energy, will assume the role as head of the company. With strategically located terminals, effective logistics and warehouses across the Nordic region, we make it possible to meet customer needs in an even more efficient manner.

– The acquisition of Silvex is a strategically important investment in Wibax growth strategy. The acquisition also opens up a new geographic expansion while expanding the added value for our customers in the region, says Jonas Wiklund, President and CEO Wibax.
