Sodium hydroxide

Sodium hydroxide is one of Wibax’ 150 products. A white solid substance used as a base in the manufacture of other chemicals and products such as pulp, soap, and detergents. 

Sodium hydroxide releases hydroxide ions in aqueous solution and is highly soluble in water. 

Sodium hydroxide is used as a strong base in the production of many chemicals and products such as pulp, textiles, drinking water, soap, and detergents.

Especially in the pulp and paper industry, large quantities of sodium hydroxide are consumed. The product also has applications in the chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, at waterworks, or for purifying gases from sulphur-containing compounds.
