A New Wibax Trainee Programme Geared Towards Immigrants

Wibax announces Wibax Academy - Good Chemistry for More of Us, a trainee programme initially geared towards immigrants. The project will be carried out in collaboration with Piteå Council and Arbetsförmedlingen, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and allow twelve candidates to experience working at Wibax, under mentorship, in everything from finance and sales to logistics and transportation, in the spring of 2020.

WIBAX’ Malmö terminal is ready for the market in southern Sweden

Following a multi-million SEK investment to increase capacity and provide a high level of safety, the remodelling of Wibax’ Malmö terminal is now complete.

Wibax Logistics is investing in new tanker trucks

Wibax Logistics will be investing approximately 20 million SEK to purchase a total of five new tanker trucks in 2019. This will give us a vehicle fleet of about 50 tanker trucks, delivering liquid chemicals and bio oils to customers, primarily in the paper and pulp industry but also other industries too.

The Klimatklivet climate initiative is back – take the opportunity to convert to bio oil

The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, Naturvårdsverket, has been granted more than 1 billion SEK in additional funding, to cover, amongst other things, investments aimed at reducing carbon emissions in Sweden. The climate initiative lets companies and other stakeholders share the risk involved in an investment with the state. Klimatklivet opens to new applications for funding in August.

New Logistics Manager at Wibax

Örjan Svensson, 52, from Gällivare, is Wibax’ new Logistics Manager. He will have general responsibility for managing and developing the operations of the company’s logistics and cistern sites. In broad terms, his role will be to coordinate improvement initiatives, whilst helping the organisation and its staff develop.

Wibax’ expansion is a “family affair”

Growing Piteå company Wibax are about to expand their facilities by 1300 square metres and it has now been decided that Hellströms Bygg will be responsible for construction work.
