Wibax AB is now finalising the acquisition of Baltic Tank Oy, a leading Finnish group in the field of storage and handling of liquid chemical products and bio oils.

As a continuation of the press release published on July 6, 2020, announcing the acquisition of 100% of the shares in a leading Finnish group in the field of storage and handling of liquid chemical products and bio oils, Baltic Tank, Wibax is happy to report that the transaction was finalised on September 1, 2020.

Wibax Establishes A Driver’s School

The Wibax group is growing rapidly, whilst concurrently there is a shortage of drivers in the logistics industry. There is a need for more truck drivers in several locations, but primarily in Piteå and Skellefteå. Wibax Logistics wishes to create a situation where more drivers are available to recruit. Therefore, we are starting a driving licence training programme of our own, and offer trainee positions.

Wibax has signed an agreement to acquire Baltic Tank in Finland

Wibax AB, through Wibax Logistics Oy ("Wibax"), has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Baltic Tank Oy ("Baltic Tank") and thereby takes over operations based in Turku, Finland and terminals along the Finnish coast as well as in Kunda, Estonia. Balitc Tank is a leading Finnish company engaged in storing and handling of liquid chemical products and bio-oils.

Wibax invest in a ninth terminal in order to further strengthen the distribution chain within Sweden

WIBAX is investing in a terminal in Gävle, with the aim of continuing to strengthen our distribution chain. “By investing in terminals of our own, we ensure that we can operate in close proximity to our customers, minimising transportation by tanker truck to whatever extent possible”, explains Magnus Sundström, Managing Director, Wibax Logistics.

WIBAX strengthening presence in the northern region

Major investment in additional safety at WIBAX’ Norrköping terminal

WIBAX has built a double-skin tank for liquid chemicals at their Norrköping terminal, an investment of 21 million SEK. “Long-term, serious investment in safety is a crucial part of our operations”, explains Anders Skoog, Operations Manager, Wibax Terminals.
