Wibax Group to invest approx. 100 MSEK in existing Malmö terminal

With this investment, we are bolstering storage capacity in the Nordic region and improving delivery reliability for our customers. This strategic initiative, expected to be completed by the end of 2025, is a significant step in Wibax' plan for continued growth and reinforces our position as a reliable chemical supplier.

The investment includes, among other things, an expanded storage capacity of 20,000 m³ through the construction of two new tanks. This will enable us to receive shipments by larger vessels, thereby improving delivery reliability for our customers.

“The Malmö terminal is strategically well-placed to receive ships from various parts of the world, and with this investment, it becomes an important hub for Wibax’s logistics chain”, says Jonas Wiklund, CEO of Wibax Group AB.

“We are simultaneously working on a project for self-sufficient electricity supply at the Malmö terminal as part of our goal to have a 100% self-sufficient electric vehicle fleet by 2030”, Wiklund continues.

In the autumn of 2024, Wibax expanded its transport operations to Malmö and has since been able to offer customers in the southern region its unique turnkey solution with in-house storage and transport. With the expansion, we look forward to more tanker trucks soon being dispatched from our Malmö terminal.

For us, it is important to continue working towards sustainable development, and we always strive to create value for both customers and partners. Through this investment, we aim to contribute to an even more efficient and secure supply chain for the future.
