Citric acid 

Citric acid is one of Wibax’ 150 products. A weak organic acid that works equally well as a flavouring agent as well as a preservative or pH adjuster. 

Citric acid is a weak organic acid that occurs naturally in citrus fruits. It consists of colourless/white, odourless crystals that are easily soluble in water.

In the food industry, citric acid is used as a flavouring agent, preservative, and pH adjuster, and also as an additive in cleaning agents and cosmetic products. 

In cleaning agents, citric acid is effective against lime and rust as it dissolves calcium and iron deposits. As a complexing agent, it is used to protect against corrosion and to improve washing results in hard water.
